Several years ago, the small family firm of Harvest Services, developed and marketed a new concept in animal housing - the mobile shelter and stable. The idea caught on very quickly and our products can now be seen throughout the British Isles. They are built from the finest materials, made to last for many years and are delivered fully assembled on a low trailer, from which they can be placed into the required position. Wide flotation solid-tyre double wheels also allow them to be towed on the road. No base or erection is needed. These shelters and stables are also totally weatherproof, of sturdy construction, fabricated from pressure-treated timber and are fully lined. Our shelters do not require planning permission. Since the early days, a wide range of products have now been developed. This includes a budget range on skids where frequent moves and mobility are not required. The optional addition of gates, hayracks etc. also make these shelters exceptionally versatile livestock units for both winter and summer, for horses and ponies, foaling mares, lambing, calving, ostrich and goats etc. The summer ventilation facility also gives horse and pony fresh air at head height, whilst providing comfortable cover out of the sun and away from the flies. The gated front also allows controlled grazing and avoids problems such as laminitis etc. The addition of a stable pack allows the shelter to be used as stables during the winter and, with the central partition and doors folded back, open cover for the warm summer months.
